For the more serious or academic students of the New Testament - those enaged in Biblical studies courses at Bible College, Seminary or University - we have begun to assemble a list of useful study resources. The lists bleow provide links to the blogs of serious Bible scholars, links to recommended Biblical Studies books (which we have used in our own bibliographies) as well as links to great peer-reviewed journal articles. We have arranged these under the most relevant subject headings. Please note that access to some articles will involve paying subscriptions. Please check with your seminary to see if you have institutional access before paying any money!
Some of the books we recommend (none of them ours!) provide useful introductions to New Testament topics, some deal with specific areas of interest to Biblical scholars, whilst others engage more fully with the orignial Greek text. Having used all these links and books for my own personal study and for university papers, I feel very confident in recommending them to you. However, it ought to be noted that a link here does not signify my agreement with the author in question.
I very much regret that due to the constarints of time, you may not find some of the links in alphabetical (author surname) order. Our book links will take you direct to amazon, but don't forget to shop around for the best price; second hand books are just as good! Kindle will also be cheaper, but can be harder to cross reference.Compare prices on other second hand sites such as abebooks.com, alibris.com or even ebay!

I would never suggest actually quoting these blogs in your seminary work! However, I do feel that reading them can help you to gain insight into theological issues which are currently seen as relevant in different parts of the Christian church. Here's a few I've picked recently.
Feminist Theology / Women's Issues
Well, the truth is that they say more on their blog pages (and say it more honestly) than they do in the journals these days. All of these are well worth reading. Citation? To be honest, if they've said something worth noting, I'll try to find a book or journal article where they say it again before citing it from a blog, but check with your supervisor SOME are more easy going on this these days.
